Uber has announced a redesign of their app and the first in a series of updates to make it easier for users to use the app.

When you select the “where to?” option on the homescreen, your list of “Saved Places” will be shown and we will suggest a customized list of destinations and ride options that are based on your past trips, preferences, and frequently visited locations. We will also provide you with tailored recommendations on how to plan and save money in your city based on your Uber usage. For instance, if you often ride Uber Green, it will be listed as the first option and we will show you other eco-friendly options as well. Alternatively, if you usually Reserve your rides ahead of time, we will display other planned options on the homescreen that you may not be aware of.
Updated Tracking
Do you ever feel rushed when requesting a ride and constantly checking your phone to see when your driver will arrive? The Uber app has a solution for that! With Live Activities and Dynamic Island, iPhone users with iOS 16 or newer can now easily track their ride’s live progress and receive important updates such as vehicle details, the latest ETA information, and trip status right on their Lock Screen without having to open the Uber app. And for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users, the progress of the ride will also be displayed on the Dynamic Island even while using other apps.
